Garage Sales Rock!

Living in the burbs has many advantages. I'm close to real nature, I don't have to deal with tons of traffic, I still have access to the city, I get to know my neighborhood and the local shops, and - we have a ton of great garage sales every Saturday. Maybe Aylmer is one of the best places for regular sales.

I usually find something good or, at least, fun, but even if I don't make any purchases I at least enjoy the morning out, driving around, learning my way around Aylmer.

But Saturday, I did have one good and unexpected find. I pulled up at a yard sale with had mostly kids' stuff. We often don't even stop for such sales, as I have no need for baby or kid things. However, I was there, I figured I'd at least take a quick look. And how fortunate that I did, for it was there that I found this young lady:



She is a head on which to model and display my crochet hats and scarves! I paid $4 for her; What a find.I'm trying to decide on a name for her - I'm leaning toward Gisele...
