My Potential New Car
Yesterday, on semi-impulse, I went into my local Kia dealership to look at a used Hyundai Accent. My current car - also an Accent - is a 2002 model, close to 200,000 km, and, well, I've put more money into it than I should. So, I've been window shopping for a replacement, and since I love the Accent, I've been looking mainly at those same cars. So, I talked to a sales rep, got the low-down on pricing etc, and left to think it over. I then decided that I did, indeed, want the 2011 Accent. I went back for a test drive, only to be told that someone had put a down payment on it to reserve it. Oh well. I drove it anyway, and it was nice. Not awesome, but very nice. Then, the sale rep (Cameron) suggested I try a 2012 Kia Rio. Since I was there anyway, I figured, Why Not? And it drove like a dream. So luxurious. No remote door opener is a disappointment. And no air conditioning, but still lots of other luxuries. I put a reserve on it, and am going to go back to the dealership tomorrow to meet with a financial manager. And, if all goes well, I will own the car by Friday.
