After my harrowing dentist appointment yesterday, I treated myself to a visit to the bookstore. I went to Chapters at Pinecrest, where I browsed a bit, and finally chose a new weekly planner for 2015-2016, and - delightfully - a colouring book!
Yes, indeed. I bought a colouring book. Not for any child I know, but for moi. I'm not sure if you heard, but adult colouring books have really taken off over the last couple of years, and colouring is supposed to be great therapy. Relaxing, and creative. Like my crochet!
I bought this best seller, Secret Garden: An Inky Treasure Hunt and Coloring Book, by Johanna Basford.
The detail is delightful, and the images really pop to life when you add colour;
I spent last evening, sitting on the deck with my new pack of 24 coloured pencils filling in my first page. It WAS relaxing, and meditative. And gave me a change of outlet from crochet.
