Sigh. Well, I will, of course, give it a go, and see how it goes!
This past week and a half has flown by, in a whoosh of activity and inactivity, healthy choices and unhealthy ones.
It's been busy because, of course, it was Christmas, with all the shopping and dining that entailed. And, of course, Lola has been a constant source of learning and entertainment!
We've been together for ten days, and she has adapted super-well to our family and home. On day one, she was terrified of the car, and I had to catch her and lift her in. Now? She enjoys going out and just jumps right in the car!
She also, at first, didn't want to go into any house with me. After only one or two days, she follows me confidently wherever I go - into my brother's house, or into a pet store.
She is still skittish around other dogs, but has improved by leaps and bounds. Where she first ran and cried from the little pet-shop pug, she ended up playing with him yesterday and with two other dogs who where in the shop.
So, I'm hopeful.

But, again, it was Christmas!
And, in the end, Lola is a wonderful dog and a great addition to my home.
