Hiking From P7 to Shilly Shally

This morning was another really great day, and afforded another really great hike with my Meetup Hiking Group.
We started from the P7 parking lot, on Chemin Kingsmere, taking trail #30, then going left and taking trail #1 as far as the Shilly Shally Shelter.
This trail has less character than my preferred trails – as in, it is a wide gravel road, easy to walk 3 abreast (or more). It’s a popular route for mountain bikers, too, so if you ride, you might want to try it out. I did,and it was a real workout on my single-speed :)
But I digress. This is a nice trail, wide and easy to walk along, but very steep in parts, especially in the beginning; it then becomes more rolling hills once you turn onto trail #1. The total distance, out and back, was about 10km, and it took about 2.5 hours leisurely walking.
