Lola's Haircut

My Aussie-doodle, Lola, is gorgeous. There is no two ways about this. But I do find her a bit nicer with longer hair - less poodle-like. I was trying to keep her hair long for the winter, at least, in order to help her stay warm. But, like all the best laid plans... she was far too matted. Not to mention rather smelly as even a good bath couldn't get all the dog-park, swampy residue out of her thick fur.

So, I caved in, and I took her to our local groomer, Sylvie (she works out of the pet shop near Giant Tiger, in Aylmer).

I'm really glad I did get her hair cut, now. She IS cuter, I guess, with her short hair. And, she must be more comfortable now that she is not full of knots and things sticking to her.

Although I think she's chilly (she's been snuggling more), and maybe the groomer cut a little too close to get the mattes out (Lola's been shaking her head a lot, and rolling around in grass to scratch herself), I am sure getting her a hair cut was the wise choice.
